Did you know that Denver holds the largest St. Patrick's Day Parade west of the Mississippi River?

Now you do.  In fact the Denver area is loaded with celebrations honoring St. Patty.  If you have recently moved to Denver and are looking for a few choicest patricks day activities that may include corned beef & cabbage and perhaps a green beverage of your choosing - here are a few to check out.

St. Patrick's Day Parade - Saturday 3/15 at 10am - The parade route begins at Coors Field at 27th and Blake - goes up Blake to 17th and then turns back on Wyncoop.  If you are lucky you may catch a four leaf clover!  There are over 10,000 marchers entered this year and according to the web site, last year there were over 200,000 spectators! 

St Patrick's Day Run 5k - Highlands Ranch - This fun community event kicks off with a 5K run in Town Center at 10am.

Serpeant Festival - Denver Zoo - 3/15 & 3/16 -  Celebrate with the snakes at the Denver Zoo.

St Patrick's Day Celebration & Parade - Sunday 3/16- Highlands Ranch - Town Center -  11 am - 3pm - A full day of Irish festivities including a parade at 12:00.

Running of the Green - St Patrick's Day 7K Run or Walk or a 2.2 mile walk on 3/16 that starts in LoDo and continues throughout Denver and ending at .  This race has earned the reputation of having one of the most fun & lively after-parties around.  This is a charity Run benefiting Meals on Wheels - Volunteers of America.

Phil Coulter & The Irish Pop Orchestra - Sunday 3/16 - Paramount Theatre - Contemporary Irish Music 

St Baldrick's Events - Variety of dates & locations throughout March in the Denver area and at various St Patrick Day festivities - participating in St Baldrick's Evens - shaving heads to raise money for children with cancer and childhood cancer research.  Click here to find a location near you.

St Patrick's Day Celebration at Copper Mountain - Head to the mountains and celebrated at Copper on 3/15 with an all day festival like atmosphere on the slopes.
