Spring is on its way . . . !

This morning I noticed the beautiful Bradford pear trees beginning to bloom! Redbuds are also making their appearances, and dogwoods won't be far behind.  A week or two ago the daffodils started popping up everywhere, and we've had Carolina jessamine and even azaleas blooming during the winter, due to this haywire weather we've been having! Gladioli stems have been rising from their flowerbeds, and irises are preparing for their show.  It won't be long!  But guess what was predicted for this weekend?  Snow!!!  I guess I could have titled this "Spring is Here, But Winter's on its Way!"

Hey--that's MY little girl! The jonquils are just beginning to bloom here in Muskogee, OK. Praise God for the beauty in His creation! :)

So many posts about Spring and wonderful flowers.  Haven't yet experienced that here in Wisconsin, we are the late bloomers in this category, but I am looking forward to it.

Yeah, when we Southerners see that y'all are having below zero temps, we think, usually very much out loud, "Why would anyone in their right mind want to live up there?!"  But then why would anyone want to live where the summer swelter makes you pray for relief that you know is impossible?!  But we still love it!
