I realized that real estate agents need every single minute that is included in our cellular phone package plans.  I'm sure most of us go over those minutes every few often.  But I heard about this company offering unlimited minutes within your home area for $45 per month.  So I had to look into it.  And....

http://www.boostmobile.com/.com Plan Features and Highlights say they have Unlimited Local & Long Distance calls from your home calling area and to anywhere nationwide, anytime, from within your large home calling area.

  • Dependable nationwide network
  • Large home calling area than can be extended for $5/month
  • Calls outside your home calling area are just 15¢/min
  • Choose from three different unlimited options. Talk or upgrade to Talk & Text for an additional $5/month or Talk, Text & Web for an additional $10/month.
  • First month free with new phone purchase & new service activation
  • No contracts or credit checks and No activation fees

I found 9 stores with their store locator that are within 11 miles of me on that sell this plan.

I have no experience with their service but they were recommend by the Clark Howard show on 680AM.  It was recommended for professionals who don't call out of the area often, or that teen aged daughter.  I thought I'd pass along some savings to you today.

Haha, we gotta keep an eye on Clarkie boy...he hates REALTORS!  Good advice coming from a former travel agent I guess! :)

Sounds like a good deal. The most important thing is that the carrier has good service available where you work! I travel and often the best phone service in Tucsob isn't the best (or even available elsewhere) The unlimited price wars look like they are going to benefit us! It's about time

Boy this sounds to good to be true.  We will have to see if anyone has had any experience with this company.

In our area you have to think about RECEPTION.  Unfortunately, I am stuck with VERIZON wireless for the time being.  It is expensive ($$$) but the only service that actually gives me a signal in my home. In spite of being close to Manhattan, no one wants towers near them in Westchester, particularly the high-end areas - thus the reception problem.

I would love to decrease my mobile bill - but I just signed up (again!) with my current carrier. When I think about how long I've had a mobile bill (since 1993), it kinda makes me a little 'ill' LOL. Thanks for the tip, though...

That Clark does have it in for Realtors!  I have to turn him at times, but overall he is helpful.

Its rare that he recommends a product, and when he does though, he has bought, used it, tested it, I will check it out.  My plan is up next month, so I have been shopping around!

I'll have to look into this. Not that I leave the house and use my cell phone a lot as it is, but it might be worth it.

Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for sharing. Clark Howard is certainly a great person to trust. I'd think if he says it good then its:

1. cheap price

2. good service

3. and worthwhile.

Thanks for sharing.
