Boeing Success Hits Local Wallets

It's been a good year for the Boeing Company, which means millions of dollars will be paid out in bonuses for local Everett workers. About 45,000 employees in the Puget Sound region will receive an equivalent of 12 days worth of pay to most of the workers.

The payout is tied to meeting specific financial targets. This is great news for the local economy. It means cars, televisions and other big toys will be sold, but for some this could be closing costs on a new home.

Boeing for you sounds like January Wall St Bonuses for NY and Connecticut. We have some of those here, too, but not to the extent that you do. Go sell more homes!

It's always exciting to hear when a company does well and this certainly sounds like the case with Boeing. We are experiencing some economic slowing due to our somewhat depressed automotive industry while our other energy businesses are actually expanding. Smile and Happy Selling!
