The topic of Aging in place suggests a lot of things to a lot of people. As we grow older and the need to downsize becomes apparent for the reasons of Health, Socialization, Safety, Financial, Close Proximity to our Support Systems, or any other reason. It becomes very stressful and overwhelming. Leaving our homes, neighborhoods and friends interrupts the process of Aging In Place.
Understanding the needs of our mature loved ones, and knowing when the time has come to downsize can be confusing, heart breaking and stressful. Relocation stress can cloud the decision making process and lead to hurried and misinformed choices. If you or a loved one finds themselves at this cross road, help is on the way.
