Short Sales and Foreclosures on Palm Beach Gardens Real Estate- Part 1

I would like to talk a little about foreclosures and short sales today.

First of all - contrary to what the newspapers seem to want to you to believe, not every homeowner is in a finincial crisis and not every home that is listed is being sold out of desperation!

Take a look at HAVE to Sell vs. WANT to Sell.

Are there foreclosures and short sales in Palm Beach Gardens? Certainly - but it's not the free-for-all that way too many people seem to expect.

Now that I'm done with that, I'll cover the basics.

You might own your real estate free and clear -GREAT!
You could have a mortgage on the property - you're making the scheduled payments without a hitch. Again, good for you.

The majority of people fall into those 2 categories.

Marc,

Say it ain't so! People who make their payments want to sell with out being in trouble? Wow!

Am I to believe the press lies? Or maybe they're incompetent!

By the way the link didn't work.

Marc, for every house that is on the market because of foreclosure or short sale, there are probably 99 that are not. The problem is the press sells more newspapers by telling people about the 1 then the 99.

We all know, if it's not negative, the press won't want it! If sales tripled in the next quarter all we'd hear is how horrible it is that they didn't quadruple!
