Looking To Borrow A Designer Bag?

By no means am I a girly-girl.  I wear minimal makeup and my purse these days is a packed diaper bag.

But I hearhandbagd about this website and just had to share.

If you really like designer stuff -- like handbags and jewelry -- but you don't want to sacrifice and pay the designer prices, then you just have to check out this site!  It's called BorrowDesignerBags.com

According to the NY Times, Borrow Designer Bags is "A Netflix for Bags".  They also said that "For handbag addicts, it's the ultimate fantasy".

According to the site, there is a monthly fee, starting at just $5, and you can even get free shipping.  So you order the bag you want, use it for as long as you want, and then return it.  Then you automatically get sent the next purse on your list.

How great is that?!  And they have all sorts of designer jewelry, too.  From belts to necklaces and rings, you can borrow whatever suits your mood or your outfit.

Now, I have not used the site, so I'm not recommending that you go there and join, but I do think it's a pretty cool idea.  Could come in handy one day.

I am not a girly girl either.  I studied fashion design in college and I remember when we used to go and buy shoes for our models to wear with our outfits and then tape the bottoms with masking tape, they'd wear them down the runway and the next day we'd peel off the tape and return the shoes to the store for a full refund.  This is an interesting concept.

June: I have honestly never heard that before.  It never crossed my mind to tape the bottom of shoes so that you could wear them and then return them when you're done.  I guess you get real creative when you're a poor college student! :)

So many great posts, I could hardly decide which to comment on!  Love your borders around each post - If you haven't already, you'll have to write a "how to" blog for doing that.

On another topic - I'd like to invite you to participate in the ongoing Military Relocation Package.  I did a lot of military relocation business when I lived/worked in Charleston, so I know what a gold mine it can be in that area.

Thanks Margaret!  I haven't done a post on them because I got it from another AR post, but I'll write one in the near future since I've received a lot of comments and requests for the "how-to".
