Mmmm.  Janet is featured on the Week in Review for Professionals too.  Her writings are excellent.  Thanks for the feature.  That post, like so many of mine, started out as a comment but got so long it became a post.

Ed, I already read three awesome posts because of this one. The one on 'special' programs interested me the most because we have been using one of the 'neighborhood' programs here and they have been working out well.  In both cases, my clients were very very concerned that they 1) buy a house well within their means and 2) had montly payments they could not only afford but allowed them the monies they needed to live.  I'm seeing more fiscal responsibility and most of my clients are FT Home Buyers.  Thanks for all your hard work this week

Ed....   I like the podcast/video.......  that was creative, so you kept up with the traditions of doing the mortgage pro week in review.... ;o)

Seriously, nice job from a title guy.  lol  You picked some good ones and a few that I missed. Thanks for including some realtor posts also. And lastly, thanks for the polite mention of my post.  Again, thanks for doing this.

Ed: Thank you so much for the mention. This post was inspired by a complaint that I e-mailed to the RainGods about "mortgage bashing" on AR.  It was the first time I ever complained to them about anything, but one post just pushed me over the top that day and before I knew it I had fired off an e-mail.

Here is what I told the RainGods: I have always thought that one of the goals on AR should be to enhance the Realtor-Mortgage Person relationship. I don't like rants...that only tears down our industry. And a featured rant that places the mortgage industry in a very poor light? That's when I go crazy.

I like Realtors like Lenn, who make it clear what it is she expects from a mortgage broker, and places those mortgage brokers that win her respect on a pedestal.

I want to know what it takes to be on the pedestal, so I read Lenn. I don't want to read someone bashing a mortgage broker because the deal closed late, no one called them back, etc etc etc......how is this constructive?

Ed, I love your little podcast, I wish I could learn how to do that!

Lenn: Thank you! There are very few writers here in the Rain I respect more than you, so that is a big compliment.

Hi Ed - you did, in fact, find a way to standout - love the podcast!  It's always fun to put a spoken voice with a face you know.

This is a great list of posts - I've read some, and missed others.  Janet's post is a great read, and talks about trust in the working relationship with your partners - I wish more people would/could work like that.  It would be so much more enjoyable for all involved.  Lenn's posts are always terrific choices - she tells it like it is and I never fail to learn something each time I read her - she causes me to think and re-think things.

You did a great job with this review - thanks for the time it took to do all that reading to put this together.

Hi Ed - that storm picture in your side bar is amazing!  I clicked on it to see it in a larger size - looks like a nasty storm for sure, with clouds of that color.

The storm closed in on Havre de Grace late in the day on Saturday.   Though it passed quickly, the wind gusts were unbelievable.

As you say, there were some really notable mortgage posts this past week.

I have really enjoyed reading your blog. I am relatively new to AR and have noticed you have received a lot of points and have achieved a remarkable high ranking. Congratulations! May I ask if you have had success in turning your high ranking into business? I am curious if it has been a profitable venture personally as well as financially. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in your business.
