This post is going to be short and straight. I just want to share this hot information with you. This is also a follow-up to my previous post regarding getting cheap dot com domains at only $1.99. This site offers absolutely free domain names. You better grab it while it is there.

Here is the link: http://www.register.com/promo/acquisitions_lp_1.rcmx?u1=551143-1-0-ARTICLE-0&trkID=EMAoFkvg1W

If you type only http://www.register.com you won't see the free offer. I have no idea if the above is an affiliate link or what. As long as I am getting absolutely free domain names, I wouldn't mind. I haven't tried this yet so use it at your own risk.

The only catch here is it charges you $35 for the renewal of the domain names. But you can always transfer the domain name to another registrar after the 60-day holding period and you get absolutely free domain names for the first year.

There is a small note regarding this offer limiting one domain per business. But I am sure as in my previous post about get dot com domains cheap, there will be a workaround to getting more domains. Post your comments regarding your experience with getting absolutely free domain names.

We, at Will2Design.com, continuously do our research and as we discover cost-effective ways to build an online presence, we pass these savings to our clients. Whether you want web design for your business, an e-Commerce solution, or a CRM integrated into your website, Will2Design.com offers you the best solutions.

smething to think about when getting cheap or free domain names...Make sure they are registering the domain name with Whois in your name and not theres! it is a fairly well known scam, you provide them with your great domain name, but if you try to transfer it turns out they actually own the domain name as your agent. Then if you want tit they charge you a ton to get it back

FYI - My coworker is in the process of transfering her register.com domain because they have a good sized ad for themself at the bottom.  It's really tacky looking.  They will charge her $35 to remove it, which is why she is transferring it.  Much cheaper.

For some background, she forwards her domain address to her web blog.

rob - yes i understand that. As I said I haven't tried it myself. But if you do things cautiously, once you register with them, you will know right away the whois information if it is with your company or theirs. Then you can respond accordingly.

omaha - give yourself 60 days to do the transfer not when the domain expires. that way, you can be sure you are not charged $35

Fort Myers - I just don't have the need for a domain right now as my hands are full these days. Others may share their experience with this registrar
