At the urging of Mary McKnight, I recently signed up for an account at rssHugger.com.  According to the site, "rssHugger aims to provide blog owners with a unique easy-to-use way to promote their blogs by sending them traffic, building backlinks for search engine optimization, as well as attracting new rss subscribers if the content is interesting to the reader."

As of today's date, the site currently has over 1200 RSS feeds. Membership is free; all it costs a little bit of your time in taking a moment to review the site and posting it in your blog.  ( as I'm doing right now)

I think that rssHugger is a great way to promote your blog utilizing viral marketing. I will tell you, however, I was little disappointed that I could not enter my ActiveRain blog for rssHugger, but I did find a way around that. Although I could have used our virtual tour Company blog, as stubborn as I am, I just had to have my ActiveRain blog entered. So, I forwarded my domain name to my ActiveRain blog and submitted CherylWaller.com.   :)

I look forward to seeing how big rssHugger grows!

Hi Jill,

Here's the link RSS Hugger, A Blog Directory that Actually Understands SEO

It came in this mornings Daily digest from Real Estate Blogs Service for Mar 09, 2008. I guess I should have linked to her blog, i will fix that now.

Cheryl, I saw that blog from Mary today as well.  How long did it take you to set it up/sign up?

just a few minutes. Not long at all... it was absolutely painless :)

Just, after you write your review/blog, be sure to go back and submit the url so your feed is added.

Hey, Cheryl, great suggestion, but what else would I expect from you?  I'll give it a shot, for I have learned by now that you definitely know what you are talking about.

konnie... you can buy a domain name from somewhere like GoDaddy.com and then forward the domain to your active rain blog. Then, you can just submit the new domain name to rssHugger.

How's the skiing out there?  I haven't skied "Awful Awful" in years!

Getting into blogging seems to be a good way to move forward.  Being unique and having a unique proposition seems to be very important.  What have your best successes been in your blogging?

All over the RSS Hugger!  The learning curve on this is high but I can't thank you enough...as a broker/owner of a small 2 person firm we are catching up to the big companies!  Fight Club!

Keep rockin!
