Kudos to the team at Active Rain and all the participants that have helped make AR the place that it is!
Over the past week we started reviewing our placements on Google for many of the keywords that we target. For the first time we are starting to see Localism.com showing up in the top 10 to 20 results on Google. After starting to consistently find Localism and/or Active Rain on the SERPS, I started to look on MSN and Yahoo. At least in our area Localism is not placing as well on MSN as it is on Google. Not really a suprise since we have not spent any time really targeting MSN with our posts. On the other hand, I was suprised to find that AR and Localism are still not placing well on Yahoo for the keywords that we monitor.
I don;t remember if I ever posted our strategy about AR/Localism, or it is one of the lost posts :) - anyway we have started to create all the neighborhoods and condos in the area on localism. From there we started adding photos of each of the areas and soon we will be adding a short description of each of the neighborhoods/condos to help prospects with the basics on each. Part of the information that we will be sharing is from the Condo guide that our local board puts out each year. We feel that by adding much of the basic information in addition to Photos and our own knowledge of each community that we can improve our exposure in each area and provide value to our prospects.
We are adding to each area a "Business Guide & Directory" type post that will highlight individual businesses in the market areas that we serve.
