This morning's financial outlook report on ABC News was one that I have been waiting to hear. They reported (finally) what I have been witnessing and others are proudly and happily talking about in the industry. It was such a great thing to hear the broadcast (even if it was only a few seconds) that it is being reported that the housing re-sales are improving!!YEAHHHHHH!!! Most of the areas of improvement, they reported, are first time homebuyers who do not have another home to sell. This in turn will fuel those sellers to buy, which fuels the next level of sales, and so on! (I am assuming that South Jersey-- just across the bridge is included in these findings, we are usually considered part of the "Philadelphia Market" in industry studies) .

Now if we could just get a little more then a few seconds of positive news broadcasting this, then maybe we will have a GREAT year in 2008!! ;)

Real Estate investors everywhere have been heard saying that this is the best time to buy a house. The prices are down, the interest rates are down, and the selection has never been better. So listen up, and find the benefits to this great time in Real Estate! The bottom of the market (just as things are looking better) is the ideal time to purchase your home!

Diana, the market here in Central New Jersey has picked up significantly since November. Good luck in Philadelphia.

Lisa, I'm actually on the other side of the bridge, but we are usually part of that market!

Penny, Glad to hear it!

Thanks for your comments!

I have been busier than ever.  And if I am inspecting homes, someone must be buying them!

I do have to add this (slightly sobering) note:  About 1 or 2 of the homes I inspect each week are bank owned properties being purchase as investments.  But sales are sales, right?

Joseph, I am sure that investors are a big part of the bank owned market. It is a great opportunity right now for investors that can hold onto a property for a little while.

I am glad it is improving and I see the signs in my market area.
