Buncombe County, NC Real Estate Market Statistics - February 2007 and 2008

Once again, we have seen an increase in the number of single family units on the market, by a significant amount, but a decline in the number of single family units sold, also by a significant amount.

The trend that we seem to be bucking is the Average Asking and Median Asking Price of those units available. They have had a steady increase upward, rather than the downward trend the media is talking about in other parts of the country.

That could also be why we have sold a smaller number than usual this year.

Hi Don, I love it when you buck trends!  A friend called and asked me about median prices and how to explain them so I'm working on some numbers for Haywood County.  I think some sellers are holding out for the spring bonanza...

Bucking trends is what it is all about.

Today, it looks like spring has sprung.
