It's hard to believe it's March already. With Spring just around the corner, more sellers are gearing up to list their homes. Showings and web traffic have both been strong this past month. Buyers seem to be getting a head start to the busy March, April and May house hunting season. Homes will continue to sell, but the ones selling in a timely manner are those that have been updated and are in good condition. Buyers will continue to have a good supply of homes to choose from. Those that don't mind homes that need some minor updating will get good deals in 2008.
New feature! I am continually modifying and adding new features to my website. Recently, I added a new feature that allows clients to search the Omaha MLS by map. It's pretty cool to zoom in and move from area to area around Omaha. It's especially useful to new homebuyers and relocation clients that are not familiar with Omaha neighborhoods.
Since statistics show that each person knows of 3 - 6 people who will buy or sell a home each year. I would really appreciate your referral if you know anyone that will be buying or selling a home this year. Please forward them my contact information, website or this newsletter.
Finally, check out my Blog called http://www.omaharealtyblog.com/ for recent posts and statistics on the Omaha real estate market.
A Quick Note from Steve
February was kind of a blur for me. The first part of the month was great, but the last two weeks I had the flu, which totally knocked me out. I am just glad Teresa or the kids didn't catch it. Taryn turned 3 on February 10th. We stayed at the Best Western at 108th and L Street for a birthday party with friends and family. They have a great pool for kids there. Both kids love to swim and they are both taking swim lessons at the YMCA. Nick recently became "toothless" Nicholas. He lost two of his bottom teeth in the past month. I told him he had 12 teeth by the time he was 1 year old, so I bet he loses his teeth all at once! He's not worried about not having any teeth to chew his food, he has his eye on the prize from the tooth fairy! He even noticed that the tooth fairy left his money in a different place this last time ... oops!
Trivia Challenge Question:
Which movie quote is this from? Where is my automobile?
Thanks to everyone that submitted guesses last month and especially Jenni P. for submitting the correct answer. She said it is one of her favorite movies. My last month's quote was from "Ground Hog Day!".
Thanks again for taking a couple of minutes out of your day to read my real estate newsletter. If you know anyone considering buying or selling a home, I would appreciate your referrals.
Steve
