San Diego Desert Wildflowers Part 1
San Diego desert wildflowers are a spectacular site to behold. This year in San Diego we had a good amount of rain and the San Diego deserts were no exception. My wife and I went out to Anza Borrego Desert State Park on Sunday March 9th 2008. I had heard from some folks that the desert flowers were starting to bloom and since I hadn't been out to Borrego Springs for quite some time I thought it would be a nice afternoon with my wife. It was.
We cut through Ramona then through Santa Ysabel and then Ranchita on S22 into Borrego Springs. As we started to come into the valley of Borrego I stopped to take some pictures of the first desert flowers of the trip with the Salton Sea and Borrego Valley below. We continued down to the Anza Borrego Desert State Park which is continued in my next post - San Diego Desert Wildflowers Part 2.
