FHA has raised the maximum loan limits to $271,050 for one unit single family homes. These limits are effective through December 31, 2008

FHA has and will play a much more prominent role for many of our customers this year. The FHA product will now be available to more customers with the increased limits enabling some customers to buy who otherwise may not have been able to in the past.

Please remember FHA allows for a manual underwrite process. This is important to our customers who may not have outstanding scores or a high credit score. Further, FHA still allows for 6% seller contribution to help pay for closing costs and a minimum of 2.25% down payment.
