St Augustine dates back to 1565 when Pedro Menendez de Aviles first arrive on Florida Shore and established the mission of Nombre de Dios, from the first steps until now St Augustine offers an array of sightseeing including Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, a living history museum which interprets life in the colonial, the Fountain of Youth Discovery Park, where it is said Ponce de Leon sought everlasting youth. The city has more then 50 attractions, historic sites and points on interest.
