Get excited! The Southern Breeze Wine & Culinary Festival is coming to Baton Rouge, April 4-6 2008. Get ready for a very entertaining weekend including boutique wines and gourmet food. The festival is going to be filled with education and entertaining culture from the Gulf Coast. At the festival you will the chance to speak with world-famous chefs and award-winning wine makers. The Festival will take  a journey through the different locations of the Gulf Coast and celebrate the culture of each one.

The Festival offers a "WineMaker Dinner" which is a five course dinner, each served with different wines. So, what happens if you totally enjoy the wine you are introduced to? Luckily they will all be available for you to purchase. The festival will work with every ticket purchaser as far as making a special request for dinner. Although requests are not guaranteed, they will do everything they can to accommodate you.

The Southern Breeze Wine & Culinary Festival will also offer a "Grand Wine Tasting". You will be given a wine tasting kit which includes a glass and event guide. You will then be encouraged to walk from booth to booth and sample over 150 wines from over 50 vineyards. Don't worry music and food will also be available. Be sure to also check out the seminars that the festival is offering. The "Walk About Brunch" is somewhat similar to the "Grand Wine Tasting". You will be given a wine glass and plate and you will go from booth to booth and sample all the great cuisines.  Be sure to dress to impress for the "Grand Wine Tasting" but for the "Walk About Brunch" you can keep it casual.

What about the seminars? The seminars are to educate you on all the things you need to know about wine. Tickets are $5. They offer several seminars through out the festival. Michael Byran will be leading the Southern Breeze Seminars. He is the executive director of the Atlanta Wine School. Wow, I had no idea there was actually a wine school. That's pretty neat.

The Southern Breeze Wine & Culinary Festival will be in Downtown Baton Rouge. Get your tickets now and get ready to enjoy a wonderful festival this April 4-6.
