Thank you all for all of your prayers as a result of my sharing our very transparent members only post about all the things that got suddenly piled up on my plate. I do not have the link to the post here because this is a public post.
Well, that post resulted in my writing the post about what is going on with our case of fighting against crooks to get our family land back in Latvia.
The outpouring of ideas, advice and most of all prayers has been wonderfully overwhelming and I must thank each and every one of you for your prayers in our behalf. The Lord hears our prayers and our prayers are answered in accordance to his will. It is of course our prayer that his will is that we will win this battle of good over evil in getting our land back from these evil villains who have made a business out of stealing the land from the rightful owners.
The very first comment I received was from Jan Wood who gave me the Latvian Ambassador's name and email address. Natalie Langford opened up her home to me to stay in the area near Washington DC if I have to go there. Patricia lives right down the street from the Latvian Embassy in Washington DC and she offered to help me. We received wonderful ideas as to solve this Apostille issue.
The GOOD NEWS is that our attorney from Latvia just called us this morning and said that the judge will accept my idea of removing the English off of the Power of Attorney letter and adding our notary and signature to that same page and then having Tallahassee staple the Apostille certificate to that POA. So I will be taking care of that this week. There are some other issues and paperwork things that we need to take care of but this is a great start.
That is the first prayer answered in a workable way!
Two Latvian judges are already in jail doing 8 year sentences for taking bribes. The documents that were stolen out of our file is the result of someone in the court office looking the other way, which means they got paid off. So my brother who is an attorney here in the U.S. is going to press charges against their U.S. counterparts in this crime of forgery of my grandmother's will and the false witnesses they had that said they saw my grandmother give this property to some person she never knew. Once we can show this judge that we know these men to be criminals; she will be unlikely to succumb to any bribes. There is now a recession in Latvia so we need to be on our toes as to things such as this. It is unconceivable to most Americans that this stuff still goes on in other countries.
*We also will be contacting the American Embassy in Latvia.*
If anyone has any connections to the American Embassy in Latvia please email me the information. We are going to file a complaint about the Latvian court system and try to get International eyes on our case. If we can do this, the judge will not be tempted to accept a bribe from these criminals. Since we are not the only American Latvians this has happened to I think we should be able to accomplish this. If you have any contacts with any dignitaries who will listen to our story and put U.S pressure on the Latvians to abide by lawful conduct please let me know.
Thanks for all your great ideas and for all your prayers in our behalf. As soon as you all started praying for me I felt the load being lifted off of my back. I felt the strength to be able to handle all of this and I know that taking it one step at a time, we will get through this all.
