Beach scene

Hello Everyone,

It's hot on the Oregon Coast!  Well the temperature is only 58 degrees but the real estate market is getting hot.  Interest rates are great, prices have fallen and the inventory is fabulous.  All over Coos County, down along the southern Oregon Coast, things are starting to happen.  Buyers are appearing in great numbers, both local buyers and out-of-staters.  It's really time to list your home or buy the one you've been waiting for.  Last weekend I held an open house and 20 groups of buyers came through and by the next day two offers came in.  One was accepted and will close in a couple weeks.  Sellers who have had their homes on the market through the slow winter are now ready to negotiate and there are bargins to be had.  For sellers the good news is that there are active buyers looking and if the property is priced right it will sell quickly.

I love Oregon. We used to live in Victoria, B.C and would go down sometimes. It is beautiful there.

I agree with the comments. You are lucky to live in the middle coast. It's still not crowded and very beautiful. I have a couple of clients down there and love the area.

Hi Debby - It feels like things are picking up down here in Brookings as well, but as you said, it is all about pricing things correctly.  One of my listings has two backup offers in on it right now...didn't think that would happen in this market!  We still have a glut of overpriced homes on our market, but it seems like homes that are priced correctly are moving.  Hope things continue to get better and better for you up there as we head in to the season!
