Working at the Pentagon: Consider a Close-by Crystal City Condo

Are you one of the 26,000 people who calls the Pentagon their workplace?  If you are currently a military or civilian employee who works at the Pentagon, or you have orders transferring you to work there, you may be interested in some of the available options for nearby residential living.

The Pentagon is in Arlington, Virginia -- Not D.C.The Pentagon is located in Arlington, Virginia a short drive from Washington D.C. crossing the 14th Street Bridge over the Potomac River.  As you might already know, the Pentagon is the largest office building in the World.  Learn more about the Pentagon and the surrounding area by reading 65 Years As the Largest Office in the World: Relocating to Work in the Pentagon.

Given the huge amount of people who work there, all roads lead to the Pentagon.  Commuters come from all points North, South, East and West by car, bus, and train.  In fact, the Pentagon bus terminal is a major hub for commuters to transfer to the Metro train system, as well as to commute to other parts of the metropolitan area.  Both the Blue and Yellow lines of the Metro system service the Pentagon.

While you could certainly decide to live farther out, maybe you wish to beat the commute.  Rather than fighting traffic every day on your commute to work in the Pentagon (a stressful enough place to work every day, so I am told), why not consider a close-by Crystal City condo?

Crystal City is located a short distance from the Pentagon on the banks of the Potomac River.  The area has experienced a recent renaissance with some brand new restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and shops.

Crystal City is just across Route 1 from Pentagon City and is actually walking distance to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.  From Crystal City, it's a short drive, 2 stop metro ride, or even a very easy bike ride, or even walk to work at the Pentagon.

Crystal City IS a fantastic place for Pentagon folks.  As are the condos by Pentagon Row.  I once sold a condo where the seller was a woman whom had worked at the Pentagon for over 20 years!

JAMES:  Yes, taking a stroll through Crystal City, you'll see plenty of men and women in uniform and it is so convenient to work.  With the addition of some new restaurants and shops, Crystal City has become a more exciting destination in and of itself.

I am being reassigned to the pentagon, but I plan on keeping my current home so I plan on renting. Is there options to rent within Crystal City or other areas so close. I have two kids, one in college and the other in grade school so a good school would have to play into the mix as well. not looking for a long commute and would love to experiance the city life.
