locating and establishing relationship with new local businesses and services--where to get the oil changed, car repaired, etc.
No matter how much experience and/or education one may have, changing jobs every 3 or 4 years is difficult and stressful.
Good news for military spouses, there is a resource available that you may not be aware of. It is the Military Spouse Career Center. Here you can search for jobs in specific areas in specific career fields and even get a certified career coach. There is no charge for this service and it is available to all spouses of military personnel.

Cynthia.... not only an excellent post, well written, but very colorful and easy to read. Looks like you are getting a hand of HTML. But overall, you did list some great resources.... again, great job.
Hi Cynthia, this is great...I brought my family to Ft. Benning after Vietnam and service to help families like this did not exist. A very helpful post...the link should be on every agents website. Nice Cynthia.
Hi Jo, I think it is wonderful that the spouse center is there to assist spouses in their pursuit of a job. Thanks.
Hello Joan, Thank you very much. Busy, busy, busy!
Susan, Just did not include that in this particular post. Thanks.
Thanks Jeff, Perhaps I got a little carried away this time.....???
Hi Gary, You guys did not receive the support and help you deserved. I want to thank you for what your service to our country in a very difficult time.
Teri, Yes I am and maybe I need to tone it down a little? Font lady? Well, I've probably been called worse. LOL
Cynthia, You have some GREAT posts for people relocating to your area...and how did everyone else learn to do big type? I am truly a dinosaur on here :) Wonderful localism post
Cynthia ~ I grew up near Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, and the military life no doubt can be stressful. By the time one is settled and is making friends in one location, it's often time to pick up roots and move again. I am so glad that these women and men have chosen to serve - and we must do what we can to help them Good job! You are always providing great resources.
Hello Jo, Thanks, I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to move to a new area every few years and find a new job. These families really do sacrifice much.
