Everyone knows that the real estate market in America is at a low point, so that's not what this post is about.

Homeowners, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and so many other real estate professionals have felt the wrath of a bottomed-out housing market. Washington's answer to the growing concern? Economic Stimulus rebate checks to the tune of roughly $300-$600 per qualifying taxpayer. Call me crazy but I won't be going out and buying a vacation home with my share of the money I feel was due me anyway.  Don't get me wrong...I'm sure these rebates will do great things toward contributing to the stimulation of our economy. I just don't think it will help those of us in the real estate industry...aside from paying a couple of weeks worth of gas as we drive around town in vain trying to get customers to just BUY SOMETHING!

So I've come to this conclusion...it's time to broaden my horizons. No I do not mean take a vacation to Europe...my $300 rebate wouldn't get me past Key West, at nearly 4 bucks a gallon.. I mean, expand my business. Surely all housing markets around the world aren't in the midst of the unbelievable downswing we've been experiencing here the States. And with the value of the US dollar being the primary casualty of said downswing, it makes perfect sense to peddle my services and property listings to the fortunate citizens of any country not currently under the reign, and subject to the whim of a guy named Bush.

I've discovered that the key to circumventing the faltering housing market in the USA, is to globalize my business. And I'm not alone in my revelation. Real Estate is rapidly becoming the latest industry on its way to fully realizing global integration. It's common sense that real estate is often a numbers game; show a house enough times, someone will put in an offer. Give enough listing presentations, someone will list. And we all know that the more exposure a property or agent gets, the chances for a sale are increased. With that in mind, why doesn't EVERYONE expand their audience? If I advertise my property on my local MLS for the outrageous quarterly MLS fee of roughly $150 (to no avail), why wouldn't I also advertise my property on a similar international network for less than $10 a month, if given the opportunity? And if I could network with other agents all over the world, and increase my opportunities for referrals, that would be even better.

And so began Elite World Search....

Hey, thanks Paul! As a realtor here in Forida, it's very much become a "hurry up and wait" atmosphere, as far as a solution to the current market slump. I sort of decided to take matters into my own hands my creating Elite World Search. It's off to a great start so I'm encouraged. I've just honestly found better results by marketing towards an International audience that's in a little better position to afford the homes I list for sale. Thanks for the comment! :-)
