One of the most difficult things for most Real Estate agents is to balance their schedules and give enough time to their families.  I am certain there are many people who will read this that are much more of an expert on this area that I am.  However, the encouraging thing about doing 1% BETTER EACH DAY is that no matter where you are at right now in this area of your life; I know that you can make a little improvement in this area each day and eventually you will find yourself at the desired place for you in this area.

TIME - Your family wants your time.  I have a 4 and a 6 year old. They really don't care what I do with them as long as I am doing something with them.  They love to play games, go to the park, have stories read to them, sitting by them if they have a movie on....whatever it is they want me to be present with them and that makes them happy.  I used to be really bad at taking calls in the evenings and taking time away from my kids.  Once I started telling others about the 1% BETTER effort it caused me to focus on that in the TIME WITH FAMILY area of my life. Now I rarely will take a call when I am with my kids.

ENCOURAGEMENT- Your kids and spouse need your encouragement.  They need to hear that you love them and that you are rooting for them to succeed.  They need to hear that you believe that they can achieve great things, that all things are possible for them and that they have a bright future.  How many people do you know that do the opposite.  They are running down their spouse or kids, always telling them what they don't do well and what they messed up.  Imagine the peace and joy you can spread to your family if each day you got a little bit better at encouraging them.

There are many more ways to do 1% BETTER EACH DAY with your family.  This is what I love about doing a BLOG.  I can ask the people reading this to ad comments of things they do to make family time special.  We all have something to share and perhaps something you share can help somebody make a small improvement and turn their family life from AVERAGE to OUTSTANDING or from GOOD to AMAZING!!
