• The Active Rain lawsuit pushes on.
  • A 7% shareholder calls for the CEO and CFO to be fired this week. Uh-oh.
  • Alan Dalton (former head of Realtor.com), having already been pushed aside months ago, finally gets the boot. (But don't feel badly for him -- he got full vesting on all of his options, plus $675K. Details here.)
  • Hitwise reports that their traffic moved from #2 to #8 in the category in just one month. Personally, I don't really trust that data. But it still must have bummed MOVE out to hear it.

Spencer:

Thanks for the chuckle.  I apologize for not being able to apologize but Move and all their troubles just seems to amuse me for some reason.  I am warped...what can I say?

I don't trust that data either.

I need to write my Zillow story soon.  You will get a kick out of it.

Now that is some interesting behind the scenes stuff.  I'll bet Active Rain wins the lawsuit.

Spencer, and you forgot the thinly veiled comments on their most recent quarterly earnings call:

"These new competitors must figure out how to monetize their sites in a scalable fashion, for they have poured millions of investor dollars into their products and with the divergent between public market and private evaluation something has to give."

But that doesn't mean you should post ones like this. As Mark Jackson the NBA commenter says: "C'mon, you're better than that"
