About me:
Born and raised in Mobile, AL, I moved away to go to college, and worked in other areas of the country for awhile after that. I eventually made my way back home, with a renewed appreciation and love for this area and all of the richness it has to offer.
After working in the yearbook and school portrait industry for many years, I got my real estate license in 2000, and never looked back! This profession gives me so many wonderful opportunities to meet new people, help them realize their dreams of owning a home, and help people navigate the process of selling a home, whether they are in distress, sizing up, sizing down, or purchasing a second home.
My interests outside of real estate include football (college, SEC), baseball, spending time on the beautiful local beaches, and spending time with my family. My husband, Rob, and I have been married 25+ years, and have two grown children, Garrett and Logan. And, a few years ago, we "adopted" a little girl. Her name is Coco, a 6 year old Yorkie, who, since both boys have moved away, has become the focus of our love and attention!

Due to health and financial issues, it was necessary for us to sell our house in West Mobile. Because of the market, we could not sell our home for what we owed on it, and Karen was very helpful in explaining our options to us. We decided to pursue a short sale, and she helped us get approved for the HAFA program, which gave us the time to get it sold, and gave us an amount at closing for moving expenses. Although the short sale process was stressful, we knew that Karen was working hard to get our house sold and take some of the stress off of us. My wife and I set out recently to sell our home, in search of a bigger space for our growing family. From our first meeting, Karen was very personable and easy to work with, setting out a plan for us to get our house sold. Karen took time to answer our questions about the selling and buying, of course, but also to talk casually with us and our girls (both of whom loved “Ms. Karen”!). Selling and buying a house is never without stress, but Karen’s professional and personal manner was there throughout the process. Two days before our closing, we discovered we needed extensive repairs done to our foundation. Karen located and contacted a contractor for us who completed the repairs in a day, allowing us to close on time. Priceless!!! Thank you, Karen!

I cannot say enough good things about Karen Singleton’s expertise. I’m divorced and had never gone through the process of selling a house on my own. Karen was so patient with me. She reassured me that I could do it, went over everything with me (multiple times if I needed clarification), gave me advice on what to list the house for and it actually sold to the second couple who looked at it! When there were a few things that needed to be repaired, after the inspection, if I didn't know of someone to take care of it, Karen did! We had several issues that came up leading up to the closing (NOT Karen’s fault) but she handled them calmly and with a superhuman professional manner for which I’ll always be grateful! I’d recommend Karen to anyone and everyone!!!
