Well, I tend to agree with much of what this older Phoenix relocation guide has to say. Scottsdale just seems to have a completely different feel than the rest of the valley. Maybe it's the resort feeling, perhaps it's the everyday sightings of Bentley's, Ferraris, Aston Martins, and other specialty vehicles that make my BMW look like a mere pedestrian vehicle. Not that Scottsdale is so affluent that you won't fit in, that's totally not it. With dinning establishments like Greasewood Flats & Pinnacle Peak Patio to Mastros Steakhouse there is absolutely something for everyone at all times!
From world-class golf courses to par-3 public courses it's all here (Troon North, Scottsdale TPC, DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Whisperock) to fabulous shopping, I mean if you can't find it here, you probably can't find it. (Scottsdale Fashion Square, Scottsdale Quarter, Kierland Commons, etc). But what's amazing about Scottsdale is that it's got that laid back, relaxed feeling that just makes you.....well..... happy to be here...And why not, there's blue sky & sunshine nearly all the time!
So if you're looking for a home in the metro Phoenix area, I highly recommend looking in the Scottsdale area. From South Scottsdale to North Scottsdale there is someting to fit all types of budgets & lifestyles. Many people prefer to be near downtown/Oldtown Scottsdale where the nightlife, clubs & major shopping are located. Others prefer a more urban space in Central or North Scottsale with Resorts, Golf, & more shopping...Homes, condo's & townhouses are all available, depending upon your needs & (perhaps) the amount of time you will be spending in Scottsdale. I choose to live here full-time & brave the hot summer however may people live here on a part-time basis & enjoy our beautiful winter/spring months.
