A few Sunday's ago, the pastor was greeting folks at the door after the Church service.
A woman that was waiting to greet him, shook his hand and said, "Pastor, that was a very good sermon."
The pastor was flattered but said, "Oh, I have to give the credit to the Holy Spirit."
The woman responded, "Well, it wasn't THAT good!"

Laura, very funny! It would be a hard position to hold being the pastor of a church as there are so many different opinions and likes/dislikes by church attendees.

Laura - your joke reminded me of part of quote by Dr Martin Luther, "if you are highly pleased when someone praises you in the presence of others; if you perhaps look for praise, and would sulk or quit what you are doing if you did not get it—if you are of that stripe, dear friend, then take yourself by the ears, and if you do this in the right way you will find a beautiful pair of big, long, shaggy donkey ears."
LOL...Yes, sometimes we must learn to say Thank You and leave it at that.
