Let's Go Boom! P&G Riverfest & WEBN Fireworks September 1st 2013
You want Cincinnati's BIGGEST fireworks show of the year? Then there's only ONE place to be and that's on the banks of the Ohio River September 1st, 2013 for the Cincinnati Bell/WEBN Fireworks show! This is the granddaddy of all Cincinnati Labor Day Weekend events!
Now you can't get there a few minutes before 9 and think you're going to drive right there, so best to come down WAY early and enjoy the P&G Riverfest! Fireworks start at 9:05 p.m. and they just don't stop!
Anyone local knows Rozzi's Fireworks knows how to put on a great show, then add WEBN's prowess with rock music and you KNOW this is going to be one heckuva jamming show! Here's a sample from the 2010 show!
Now of course there's much more to this Ohio River Fireworks Show than JUST the fireworks! There will be live music and other entertainment starting at noon on September 1st at the Serpentine Wall and P&G Pavilion stages and going until a half hour before the fireworks start! Add some skate park demonstations, the Rubber Duck Regatta and some zombies (yes, the brain eating undead will be making an appearance!).
And the expense to get in? FREE! Now of course parking, food and non-alcoholic drinks for the day are on you. Notice we said NON-ALCOHOLIC drinks! Sorry, but adult beverages are forbidden. This is meant to be a family friendly event and the rules are there to keep it that way!
And there won't be people only on the riverbanks, but you can bet the boats will be claiming their vantage points LONG before the fireworks start! And of course various businesses that have great views of the Ohio River will be offering packages to take advantage of the fun!
Now there are rules for this event:
You can bring blankets, but no chairs (even the fold up kind). You can claim your spot as early as 6 a.m. on Saturday August 31st.
No booze. PERIOD.
No weapons. Did we REALLY need to tell you that??
No wheeled items....skateboards, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, etc.
No pets! Yes, we know they're cute, but this isn't the place for them.
No coolers!
There will be road closures for the event. Obviously the earlier you get there, the better your chance at finding prime parking down by the Ohio River! (and don't expect it to necessarily be cheap).
We hope you have a blast!
