Every time I go to a movie at the Webster Cineplex I drive by the sign at Webster and Elston and see the retail development plans with the pretty pictures and the inevitable value in the location and retail potential of the site.

Well that site (at the river, Webster & Ashland)  is currently in abit of a lawsuit since the buyer/developer does not want the property anymore.

Actually they offered to pay a lot over $12M versus the $16M that was agreed on, but the sellers felt that was a breach of contract.

I am not sure what will come of the site, but the shiny new retail development picture that is on the sign will be no where near a reality any time soon.
