We have large variety of birds in Northern Virginia. Most of the time when I'm out for a walk at one of the local nature reserves or parks I'm on the look out for Osprey, hawks, cardinals, woodpeckers and more native varieties.
This morning on my walk around Burke Lake Park in Fairfax County I encountered this fellow. He was enjoying a tour of the park on the shoulder of another walker. Now of course I could have done my best pirate imitation but that would have been so cliche. Must be nice to have someone else do the walking while you just ride along.
