Speechless Sunday Match Cup Sailing Races in Chicago

While in Chicago there were many things going on such as the Festival of Tall Ships which will be a later blog and the Chicago Match Cup. It was really interesting to watch the race luckily for me my friend knows a lot about sailings so I could actually figure it out. It is not easy to watch the races if you do not understand them. This is a World Match and the Chicago match is the only one taking place in the United States. Twelve teams from around the world were competing. The next stop on the world competition was London on the 19th of August I believe the next stop after that will be Bermuda now that would be a cool place to go. Yolanda - That shot with the boats and the lighthouse is really cool.  I also like the colors of the sails.  It looks like a wonderful event!

Wouldn't it be fun to be a le to sail away on one of those ships. Seems to me like the sway so the ship would be a major relaxation thing. I would probably sleep well!

I wish I had known about this before! Those sails are beautiful and colorful too! They dressed up for the photographers and the event! Wouldn't it be great to follow them around the world!!!

You sound like your having the time of your life in Chicago. Good for you! Life is an adventure not worth missing behind a computer or television!

I really like the colorful pictures and the lighthouse in the background of one picture. I can attest to the fact sailing races are not the easiest thing to understand.
