Our Meetup in Westcliffe, CO on Saturday may have not been the best attended Meetup. However, it was probably held in the most amazing, beautiful, and charming location. John Johnston opted to host the Meetup at the Courtyard Country Inn Bed & Breakfast in Westcliffe. My poor camera went into sensory overload because there were too many things that I wanted to photograph. Since John and his wonderful wife Mo own the Courtyard Country Inn B&B, hopefully they won’t mind if I spend my time on this post gushing about their courtyard.
The drive into Westcliffe from Colorado Springs was nice. It entailed gentle winding roads, awe inspiring rock formations, majestic pine trees, lush green grass and patches of cheerful sunflowers. The next thing I knew was that I was driving into a beautiful valley that has the Sangre De Cristo Mountains as a backdrop. Westcliffe is a clean, small, quaint western town that seems to attract a fair number of tourists.
The Courtyard Country Inn Bed and Breakfast was located on Main Street. It was well marked and easy to find which was good news since my GPS failed me. GPS gave me directions to the equivalent address in Silvercliffe rather than Westcliffe.
In real estate we preach street appeal. The Courtyard Country Inn B&B is the poster child of “street appeal.” I was enchanted by the place before I even reached the office door. I was regret that I did not make arrangements for someone to feed my horses.
The rooms for the B&B and John’s real estate office surround a courtyard that is basically one large country flower garden with paths, multiple seating areas and lots of cute sometimes eclectic, decorations. The courtyard is also graced with a fish pond and a waterfall.
My pictures do not do the Courtyard Country Inn Bed and Breakfast justice primarily because I couldn’t keep my focus.
For example, I planned to photograph the waterfall but kept getting distracted by flowers and other charming little items. I guess that I’ll just have to go back. The place is beautiful, fun and quirky at the same time.
John says that he takes care of the area along the street and that his wife Mo is the creator and caretaker of the courtyard.
It is very evident that John and his wife are best friends. It was wonderful getting to meet both of them.
It was great to meet John. He is very knowledgeable about his area and genuinely cares about his real estate clients and the town in general.
I would highly recommend John Johnston to anyone wanting to purchase a property in Westcliffe and the surrounding areas.
John, THANK YOU for hosting this Meetup. I will be back.
Sincerely,
