Halton County Radial Railway

We took the grandchildren to the Electric Radial Railway Museum last week.  It is a great treat for the children and also the adults.  You can rid on two different streetcars.  One is and open car and was built in the late 1800's and the other one was built around 1925.  They were originally from Toronto.

Old StreetcarThe museum has a warehouse full of old streetcars and subway cars.  There is a streetcar from Hamilton (I remember those.  Yikes, I am giving away my age).  Streetcar 1890's

You can ride on one car and get dropped off on the turnaround and buy ice cream ($1 for a small cone - great deal).  Hop on the other car when it comes around and enjoy the ride.  The children sure loved it and on the way home, they asked when they could go again.

The museum is located on Guelph Line, 8 miles north of the 401 (exit 38).

Janice, it is a great place for children and adults.  Not a long day, just a couple of hours.
