With 12 starters returning, the Wolverines seek to defend their Region Championship and make a deeper playoff run under sixth-year head coach Frank Hepler. West Forsyth not only has to compete in the perennially-tough Region 6-AAAAAA, but they open the season next Friday against Gainesville, last year’s 5-A State Champs. They beat the Red Elephants this time last year 32-30.
