With the real estate market hopping the way it is I am putting in a lot of very long days. Sometimes I end up skipping lunch and by the time dinner rolls around I have absolutely no interest in cooking.
Enter the quick happy hour and tapas specials that exist everywhere...in fact we have quite a few restaurants and tapas bars that offer fast tasty bites for reasonable prices.
My favorite option in town is the Tuna Slider happy hour special at City Tropics on 5th Ave in Indialantic. City Tropics is a cool restaurant that has quite a bit to offer. A full sushi bar, a sit down restaurant open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, and two bars (inside and outside patio). If you sit at the bar City Tropics has a really nice happy hour menu that offers quite a few slider options...but the Tuna Sliders are truly the bomb! Start with a small slider bun, add a thick slice of tuna (barely seared), throw on some mixed veggies (cut into small thin sticks) and add a little spicy mayo to top it off.
You get two sliders to an order for...get ready for it...$5.00. and since it is happy hour the domestic draft beers are $2.00! So you can enjoy your sliders and a cold beer out on the patio bar...enjoying our amazing Central Florida weather...all for $7.00 plus tax and tip.
I promise you this is one of the more amazing deals in town :)
