This is really a fun contest, with different judges each week, and all scores carrying forward for a cumulative score to determine the overall winner(s). It's not too late to participate - Just read the guidelines on the post, Military Relocation Contest, and be sure to post your entry in the comments so judges can find them.
Many many thanks to the judges for Week One - Rich Jacobson, Thesa Chambers and Donna Yates!

Margaret, maybe some day a "newbie" like myself could be good enough at blogging and dare to enter a contest like this! Anyway, thanks for commenting on my clock picture I used in my "Don't sleep in" blog.
Margaret.... this was an awesome idea... sorry that I didn't have time to participate... just too much on my plate. And I read a few of these, very well written. Again, great idea of promoting this and what a great way for the member to get themselves out there in their local area.
How exciting! Thanks again Margaret for this awesome idea you had and thanks for all the work it takes to run a great contest. I have read some amazing articles. This is much needed motivation today as I have hit a little "bloggers block" and still have 2 articles to write for this week!! Thanks again!
Jeff, that's great news you're so busy, but you still have another three weeks. We could use a post from a lender for ALL of us to link with, that explains the calculations for using partial VA elligibility. Many of our military relo clients could use that to finance their homes.
Jo, Congratulations - those are some amazing pieces of work. 'Glad I'm not competing against you! By the way, I posted this announcement to Localism in your area.
Courtney, Prett good, huh? Still three more weeks, if you'd like to enter. Even if you don't win, you'll end up with a nice relocation package for military and civilian transferees...
Margaret, great contest. Unfortunately I was too busy last week to get an entry in, but got mine in early for this week. I'll have to go take a look at all the wonderful entries from last week.
Congratulations to Jo, Sally, and all the other participants!
I bookmarked this post with all the links to the entries....something like this could also be a determining factor on who I can refer clients pcsing from here to the continental u.s.
Thanks for the contest Margaret. It took a lot for me to put that together from all the posts I've written along the way....and also showed me what I need to add! :)
Brian - I wondered where you were! You're too good at this type of thing not to enter. You can even re-cycle some previous posts by tweaking them for use in a military relocation package.
Sally - I know how exhausting these relo posts can be, just coming off that Local Expert contest. Your entry was awesome, and I look forward to seeing more in the future!
Audrey - Yes, that would be great. Are you entering for Aberdeen? Annapolis? Fort Meade???? (If Annapolis isn't too far for you, that might be the most likely staging market.) So many options for you. While it won't directly attract business, since you deal with sellers and not buyers, you'll provide links that agents can use in their relo posts (with your permission) and sellers may find your posts, as well.
Margaret - thank you for the opportunity to act as a judge for the week - it was great fun and I learned a lot - found some great bloggers and really did enjoy it.
Brian - Did you read her post? Amazing! LOTS of good relocation posts!
Cynthia - Loved reading your post, and I hope you ou'll enter some more. Just think, you'll be all ready when that next transferee calls! We're getting more of those great posts, like we had when putting the military directories together - 'wish we could maintain that quality in this group.
Great choice and all of the entries show how well everyone is thinking about their military clients. I've been out showing houses to a couple who found me through my posts so YIPPEE!
Margaret~Congrats to Jo! She does have an awesome post for sure. What a great example everybody has been on this. Thank you for your encouragement and support in the fabulous group and contest, I know you have put in a lot of hard work to make the military relocation group and directories a huge success. Enjoy your week!
Gary, thanks for checking in. There are agents working that area, but they may have other priorities than creating relo packages for their area. We're very pleased to have over 25 entries in week 1. Usually entires don't really come in until the last week or even few days!
I am very impressed with the winner, Jo Soss' entry. It bums me out that I haven't had the time to write something so useful for our relocating military personnel. Hopefully this weekend will give me the time to get my act together. Great contest, btw!
