Michelle Carr Crowe's “Must Have App” for AR Real Estate Contest
by Michelle Carr Crowe, San Jose real estate agent
Choosing what is my most useful, “must have app” for the EchoSign and ActiveRain contest is a hard one. However while I have several I use regularly such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Trulia, there is one “must have app” I consider an absolutely essential tool for every day that I work selling Silicon Valley real estate.
My “must have app” is called Supra eKey. It’s a free download (with our paid Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® membership and Supra eKey subscription, which is required for using our Bluetooth-enabled secure lockboxes).
I have six great reasons for why I love the Supra eKey app.
Immediate Access. What I love about this app is that I can access the data immediately (unlike our clunky, super-secure, double password REIL/MLS that leaves me hanging everytime).
Instant Maps. I touch the address and it maps it out for me with icons for immediate directions.
Includes Showing Instructions. If the agent was professional enough to include the showing instructions when entering a home for sale on the Multiple Listing Service, (such as Go Direct, Call Listing Agent, Do Not Disturb, etc.), I can know instantly how easy (or hard) a home is to show.
Instant Agent Directory. I can search by agent name and get the agent’s phone number and email from it, then push to call or email for access, status check, checking on offers, etc.
Saved Searches. I can save searches on the app, as well as create new searches.
Easy Access to Show Homes. With my key fob, the Supra eKey app allows me to use my smartphone to open our bluetooth-enabled Supra lockboxes.
There are two negatives. One is it only updates once a day (once you synchronize Supra eKey that day, it doesn’t sync any new updates until the next day’s update no matter how many times you try to refresh it). Two is the area fields are clunky and it otherwise only allows you to save a search in one zip code at a time.
When I show property to relocation home buyers, I often print out lists of homes for the clients and a map of homes we’ll view for each of us. Should the client forget or lose that info, I can use the Supra Key app to relocate all of that info in one place-that is awesome.
The Supra eKey app is Michelle Carr Crowe's “Must Have App” for AR Real Estate Contest. It makes my life easier, faster and more efficient, especially when touring and showing homes to potential buyers.
