Old Town Park City encompasses an area spanning the old miners homes above Main Street through the town itself and just past Park City Mountain Resort to the northwest. Many of the homes and condos here have either direct ski access or are a short walk to the Town Lift and from many locations here there is little need for a car, especially with the free city bus coming by every 5 minutes or so, providing access to just about anywhere in the Greater Park City area.
Old Town plays host to many events throughout the year including the world famous Sundance Film Festival in late January and the equally well known Park City Arts Festival the first weekend in August every year. During the summer and early fall you can find something fun every Sunday at the Park Silly Sunday Market located on Lower Main Street.
City Park is a popular location for locals and visitors alike within Old Town. There is a football field, rugby fields, playground, beach volleyball courts and more. There are many activities here throughout the year including the Fourth of July celebration and the Children's Fair every spring that my family never misses.
There are currently 34 single family homes available in Old Town. The priciest of which is a 4 bedroom/5 bath 6,800 square foot ski-in/ski-out home located on over 55 acres of prime real estate priced at $15 million dollars. The least expensive home in Old Town is a quaint Victorian 1 bedroom/ 2 bath 794 square foot home priced at $390,000. Click here for all currently available single family homes in Old Town Park City.
Children in Old Town will attend McPolin Elementary school, located a short distance away near the High School on Kearns Boulevard. All Park City students attend Ecker Hill Middle School for 6th and 7th grades, Treasure Mountain Middle School for 8th and 9th grades and Park City High School for 10th through 12th grade.
There are numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance in Old Town including a few of my favorites, Whaso (Asian Fusion), Bandits (BBQ) and The Wasatch Brew Pub for comfort food and pub fare.
