FSBO'S need MLS Realtors in this market.

By
Real Estate Agent with Town&Lake realty

MY last post before I am off to work for the day.

In a HOT market, homes sell themselves and we see alot of FSBOS.Right now FSBOS need to list with a MLS realtor to get their home sold.

I have investors that normally sell there own properties that have contacted me to sell their home as they know in a  so called slow market a Realtor is there best chance of getting the home sold in a reasonable amount of time at top dollar.

Somehow we need to get this message out to FSBO's,that we as realtors do provide a service that they need in todays market. We all have preapproved buyers and our job is to Sell homes.

I have this philosphy, that we all have a job to do and if everyone just did their job well the world would be a better place.

One of my jobs is to sell homes and match buyers to the home of their dreams.I have others such as a"mom" and "grandmother".I strive to do them all to the best of ability.'

Have a great deal and Do your job!

Sandra, here in Miami the FSBO market is still quite strong.  Lots of people still start out FSBO thinking they can go it alone.  They're just confirming the statistics a few months later when they go to a REALTOR.

I have found that the suburban Milwaukee market is similar to our market in Des Moines. Here our market indicators like saturation rate are trending towards a buyers market. It being a buyers market does not mean that savvy sellers are not going to get full price for their home. Inventory and Days On Market are both up, Average sales price for homes sold through the local MLS are up about 5% vs. last year. Is what is going on in the Milwaukee home market similar

I have a website, signs and marketing plans and materials to assist FSBO's if you know any who are in need of help.  I agree though, FSBO's really should be listing right now.  I have seen multiple failed FSBO's have success very quickly after listing.
