Business has been booming, as they say -- so much so that I haven't done a very good job of keeping on top of the real estate market stats for Ozaukee County. So here is a summary of where we are with single-family homes.
The number of single-family homes sold continues to gradually climb and is up considerably over the same time last year. Some promising news.
The average sale price of single-family homes, however, has dipped a bit in July and August as compared to June, and that seems to follow the trend of the summer months over the past few years. The good news, however, is prices are up as compared to July of last year.
After dropping in July from June, the average days on market went up a bit in August. Overall, though, we are seeing a great decrease in how long homes are sitting on the market when we look at last year. Another indication that the market continues to improve.
