How Do I Find My Unique Social Media URLs?

Reblogger Ginger Harper

This is something that I know very little about.  I know that I must learn this in order to participate in one of the contest that I think that I will enjoy.  Therefore I am going to book mark it and also print out a hard copy to have in my hot little hands..

Thanks,

Ginger

Don't fret if you're not sure how to find your own url on social media sites.  They can be a little tricky, This post will help you easily get what you need from a few of the popular sites.

Social sites generate tons of traffic so it is important that you syndicate your content there.  We want as many eyes to catch your posts as possible.

On the top right, you'll see a settings icon (it looks like a gear).  Click it and scroll down to Account Settings.  You'll see your username listed under your name.  This is your unique url for Facebook.  Anytime you place this link somewhere, it will take your readers to your page.  Looks like this:

If you don't like what you see, click 'edit' on the right and it will allow you to change your username, thus changing your unique url.  Here are a few guidelines you should read over before you change your username.

Go to your Twitter account settings.  Right there under your username you'll see your unique url.  Looks like this:

Once you're logged in, click the arrow next to your profile page on the top right.  You'll see the link for "My Channel" appear in blue.

Click it and you'll see your unique page url at the top:

Once you're logged in, hover your mouse over the Profile tab and then click 'Edit Profile' from the drop-down menu.  Directly under your photo you'll find your unique LinkedIn url.  Looks like this:

This one isn't as pretty as the rest.  Hover your mouse over the Home Icon on the left.

A drop-down menu will appear and you'll want to click 'Profile' from here.  You'll then copy the url you see in your address bar.  Looks like this:

Not as pretty as the customizable ones you can make on other sites but that's the link you'll use.  You'll be hiding these urls behind social media icons so don't worry about the look of your web addresses.

Click your name on the top right which will bring up a drop-down menu like this:

From there, click 'Your Boards' and copy the url that appears in your address bar.  Looks like this:

If you have a specific Real Estate board, click that board from this page and you'll see your unique url change with it.

I hope this has cleared up any confusion you may have had.  I'll do my best to update this post as these sites may change their account settings at any time.  If you need help with anything or unclear on other sites, give us a ring at 1.888.643.3837.
