What is Your Blogging Style? I am a Storyteller!

What is Your Blogging Style? I am a Storyteller!Every time I read one of Richard Weisser's blog posts, I grow envious. He has the ability to share his message so succinctly. I do not.

As a matter of fact, my blog posts echo real life. You see, I have the gift of gab and my fingers seem to follow suit.

The truth is, I am a storyteller. Sometimes that really pays off for me. Other times, not so much.

The one thing I have learned over the years is that we all have a blogging style. For instance, when I mention Alan May, what comes to mind? Or how about Liz and Bill Spear? Lenn Harley? Greg Nino? Are you getting my point?

We all have a very different blogging style. The great part is that each style seems to have a place here and in the blog-o-sphere. It's good to know that there isn't just one way of writing a blog post.

Newbies, did you hear that?

There's no right or wrong way to write a blog post. Whatever your style ends up being is all good. The only mistake you could make is not to blog at all. So, the next time you hesitate to write that blog post, just remember, we all have different styles and that's okay. The world would be a pretty boring place if all our blog posts looked and read the same.

What is your blogging style? I am a storyteller!

I read blogs for the message. Humor is great. Nature is terrific. Real Estate is business.

Nothing wrong with being a good storyteller! The world needs more of them. And that's an excellent point to newbies, there is no right and wrong, there's only you.

Hi Tammie -- and that's what makes you a great blogger.  To rise above the crowd, you gotta know who you are...

I think newbies come on here and start to read other's blog posts and don't want to write theirs the wrong way. Everyone has their own style and it works for them. Be proud of what your style is!

Tammie, I agree with your post.  If everyone was great and didn't go with their gut feeling I guess everyone could write a book and become a best selling blogger.

Tammie-I do like your style because it's you!  And I couldn't agree more... the biggest mistake is to not start blogging; the second is to not blog in your own voice.

Elise - Where I started is vastly different than where I am now.

Sussie - That's what I do.

Debe - That's what I figure.

Raymond - My husband did a lot of technical writing for his job. It's fun when he breaks out from that.

Michelle - Excellent point.

Hella - I throw in some of those dry facts for those who need to see them.

Jared - And you do that so well.

Kat - Sometimes my posts end up being too long. I just don't have the ability to say it in fewer words.

Craig - I use this same approach with my clients. After they hear some of the stories I have to share, they don't want to make a similar mistake.

Fernando - You are too kind. I love reading your posts because of all that I learn.

Gita - We all have to find what works for us.

Michael - Your posts, for instance, are always instructional. You are just so dang knowledgeable.

Sally & David - True.

Elisa - That's a good way to be.

Norman - Unfortunately, I sometimes stray from the course.

Harry - That's why consumers connect so well with you.

Michael - I envy you.

Mike - We are probably a lot alike when it comes to our blogging.

Shannon - I'm with you. Just be yourself.

Andrew - You are definitely "one of a kind".

David - Honestly, I think there are some people who think there is a right way to do this. They don't blog because they think they'll do it the wrong way. Doesn't exist, obviously.

Richie - It's kinda like that.

Lyn - I had that problem earlier this week. I may have to go back and edit that very long post.

Raymond - Happy to hear that.

Chris & Dick - You'll see me post on a variety of topic. This, for example, is a public post. Even though, it's directed towards bloggers, not consumers.

Bill - Lots of different things to blog about.

Marti - Thank you.

Matt - That's what you have to do.

Michael - I'm pretty comfortable with who I am.

Suzanne - That's how I see it.

Nathan - We all need information.

Thomas - I suppose.

Jill - I agree.

Kathy - So true.

Bryan - So has mine and I suspect it will continue to do so.

Barbara - Oh, how I wish I could do that.

Tammie, you're very smart, way ahead of the pack and a highly effective communicator as a Storyteller.   There's a recent article on Linkedin entitled, "

This Will Be The #1 Business Skill Of The Next 5 Years

and it provides reasons the #1 business skill is storytelling for now and the years to come.  The first example given was of a band that raised $1,2 Million on Kickstarter simply by telling a story, which later became a popular TEDTALK!

Looking forward to reading your stories.  I'm subscribing to your AR blog.
