This event will take place on Sunday, October 6, from 4–7 pm at Key Elementary School, 2300 Key Boulevard in Arlington rain or shine! The “Mason Mile” will start at 4:30 pm. This is a FREE community event, with optional donations to benefit Key School and the Mason Leach Superstar Fund at Children’s National Medical Center. Superstar Family Fun Day will consist of outdoor activities for the whole family, music, snacks, and the main event – the “Mason Mile”, a one-mile road run/walk on Key Boulevard.
The Superstar Family Fun Day and “Mason Mile” are held in the memory of Mason Leach, a five year-old Key School student who passed away from brain cancer in 2007. This event is sponsored by the Key School PTA Wellness Committee and the Mason Leach Superstar Fund to honor and support the community who helped Mason during his illness. This event celebrates Mason’s life and encourages the children of Key School to be active both physically and in their community. It’s a way for the community to turn a tragedy into something positive.

Key Blvd will be closed to traffic from Veitch to Highland from approximately 4:15pm-5:00pm. Please help us make this a great event. Come and cheer for the kids and families running.
