44th Annual Laurie Hillbilly Fair, September 13 and 14th, 269 Fairgrounds Road,   Features parade, bands, carnival rides, games.   FREE admission, $2 for parking.   573-374-8776.  

Mansfield: Laura's Memories, an outdoor musical pageant, Ozark Mountain Players' Ampitheater, 500 W. Ohio St.   7:30 pm September 13 and 14th.   Tickets: $10; $5 for ages 5-11.   Free for children under 4.   417-924-3383.

Monthly Breakfast, 7am to 9am, Ozark Senior Center, 727 N. 9th st.   Cost $4, $2 for children.   417-581-2538.

Free CPR Training, 8am to 5pm, at local fire stations around the area.    Call any fire station to get more details. You will learn Hands On technique from certified CPR Trainers.    Take a Saturday and learn to Save A Life.

Reading Around the Square,5K Walk/Run, Book Drive, and Literacy Festival: Follow the Yellow Brick Road, 7:30 to 2pm, downtown Ozark, Mo square, transformed into the Oz Emerald City with booths, food, performances, and parade at 10am, and dog contest too.     Pancake breakfast 9am, bring a new book to donate.   5K is $25 and includes shirt and breakfast.   

Car Shows

Car and Motorcycle show to benefit Least of These Christian County Food Pantry.     10am to 3pm, registration 8 to10am, First Baptist Church, 601 W. Wasson Dr.   Free for spectators, bring canned food items for donation.   Entry fees to register.   hammit@cebridge.net 

Moonlight Tour, 7pm to 10pm,  Wilson's Creek National Battlefield.  6424 W. Farm Rd 182.   Tours of 24 people will begin at 7pm, and continue every 15 minutes.   Tickets:$7 , may be obtained at battlefiield Visitor Center.      417-732-2662, ext. 227.

Autumn Fest, 10am to 5pm, September 14 and 15th.   Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, 3001 N. Grant.   Festivities include, arts and crafts, a kids zone and live music.    Tickets:  $5 at the gate, or $ 3 in advance at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.

Bubble Fest, 10am to 2pm, Discovery Center, 438 St. Louis St.    General admission, $12, $10 for Seniors, $8 for children 3 to 15.   Free for children under 2.    417-862-9910. 

Monarchs Rule,1 to 4pm,Springfield Conservation Nature Center, 4601 S. Nature Center Way.   An indoor/outdoor adventure to eplore the behavior and life cycle of monarchs.   Ages 5 and older.   FREE, 417-888-4237.
