It's crazy to think that just 12 years ago (has it really been that long ago?), so many people went to work that day, and didn’t make it home to their families for dinner. So many lives changed, so many American Flags flying around.
Each year, on this date, we post Facebook statuses about where we were and what we were doing when this occurred, and we fly our American flags proudly. But, the next day, we go on about our business.
I would just like to take this time to say this: if you or someone you know lost someone on that day, whether they were in the plane, in the building or a firefighter/police officer/EMS/etc, I am still so sorry for your loss.
I can’t image how hard this day is for you and you and your families are in my thoughts, not only today but every day here after.
Sometimes we get so caught up in everyday life that we forget to remember the heroes who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Our country has been at war because of this day for the last 12 years, and I pray for everyone fighting for my freedom.
Let’s just all take a moment, to sit at our desks and thank God that we get to leave our work day today and go home to our loved ones. And to say a silent prayer for everyone who lost their life on this day so many years ago.
God Bless you, and God Bless America.
