Fall in the Butte

The leaves are just beginning to change so we have two to three more weeks until they are peaking with intense orange, yellow and red colors. Real Estate Market Update
Real estate sales from January 1, 2013 to present show a 27% increase over the same period last year. $82,495,994 worth of single family homes and condos in the upper valley have sold representing 177 transactions, 16 of which were over $1mil including yet another $4.25mil Prospect ski in/ski out home. With 49 properties under contract, 10% of our total inventory, totaling $26,681,481 we will end the summer on an extremely positive note. Benson Sotheby's remains the leader in the county with over 24% of the real estate market share.
Land sales have nearly doubled since my last edition and are approaching 19% higher than the same period last year. Coming in at $8,973,636 and comprised of 44 transactions it is evident land is making a come back as well. Three of these sales were over $1mil, two of which were in the town of Crested Butte and one at the Reserve on the East River. Another 12 parcels are under contract totaling $2,873,545.
