Frederick County, MD Real Estate Market Statistics, August, 2013

 

Currently, there are 984 active listings of homes for sale in Frederick County, Maryland. 37 (3.76%) of the available homes are lender owned foreclosures (REO). 91 (9.25%) of the listings are short sale pre-foreclosures. Short sale transactions require the approval of the secured mortgage lenders since the proceeds of a sale will not fully satisfy the outstanding mortgage obligations.

During August, 2013, the total sold dollar volume of residential properties in Frederick County, MD was $90,429,535, up 19.94% from the same month last year. There were 312 closed sales, up 20.46%, at a median sold price of $262,995, down 6.07%. The average sold price was $289,838, down 0.43%, with an average of 55 days on the market. The average sold to original list price ratio was 95.6%.
