Mason Heritage & Bicycle Festival September 14 2013
If you've safely navigated Friday the 13th, there's a reward in Mason for you on the 14th! The annual Mason Heritage & Bicycle Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mason Municipal Center complex at 6000 Mason Montgomery Road, and they've got a full schedule from start to finish!
At 10 a.m. you get the traditional parade featuring residents cruising on their bikes, floats, marching bands and all the usual suspects! Parade starts in downtown Mason and heads down to the high school! Expect traffic detours (of course)!
As soon as the parade is over they crown the Little Miss Heritage Pagaent Queen and then starting at noon the festivities hit high gear! The main stage will be going from noon until after dark, with a Beatles tribute band Brit Beat wrapping up the night!
And at 9:40 Prestige Fireworks of Mason will be closing out the day with a bang and a boom! Oooooo, pretty colors!!! And at 10 p.m., you don't have to go home, but you can't stay there!
Now we didn't even get into the details of all the other aspects of the day, but there will be PLENTY to do! A ride wristband is $5. There will be a Teen Zone and a Kids Zone. Vendors and food, and even the Cincinnati Circus Company will even have a trapeze set up. Mix in jugglers and other performs, and a 150 ft. zip line!
Can you tell this isn't your typical festival??!
