A Sure Sign That You Did Not Fix
The Water Leak in Sacramento
I get an opportunity to see plenty of water related damages as a general contractor in the Sacramento area. Damages caused by water can come in many forms and the source of the water varies. Much of the work that I see is after the repair has been done by others.
Occasionally, I am asked to clean up the repair area long after the repair has been completed by others.
When looking at a cleanup project in Sacramento today, there were a few signs that maybe the water leak had not been done correctly. It’s not rocket science to understand, you just need some common sense to see that the leak is not fixed.
- A repaired water leak will not continue to stain the drywall.
- A water leak that is fixed does not need a stain sealer sprayed to it.
- A repaired leak will not cause the drywall to get wet.
I saw all of these today and I am convinced that the repairs that were done in this Sacramento ceiling were not correct and in need of further repair. As a general contractor, I am qualified to make these corrections if needed.
